  • Profile Data: Optional profile picture and preferred currency.
  • Financial Data: Budget limits, transaction descriptions, and manual expense amounts.
  • Support Inquiries: Content of messages sent to customer support.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (UDID/IDFA), and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous data such as button clicks, screens viewed, and crash reports.

C. Information from Features (Camera & Photos)

  • Camera and Photo Library: Used to scan receipts.
  • Receipt Data: Receipt images are processed using OCR technology to extract text such as store name, date, prices, and items.
  • Data Retention: Raw receipt images are not permanently stored unless you choose to save them. Extracted transaction data is stored.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the service, including OTP verification, receipt scanning, and bill splitting.
  • To improve the App by analyzing usage trends and fixing bugs.
  • To communicate service-related notices such as password resets and subscription confirmations.
  • To manage subscriptions via Apple and Google receipt validation.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted vendors such as:
    • Cloud Hosting: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Analytics: Firebase, Apple App Analytics
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or valid legal requests.

5. Payments and Financial Information

We do not collect or store your credit card or bank account information.

  • Payments are securely processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • We only receive a transaction receipt token to confirm payment and unlock Premium features.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit and at rest via AWS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.

8. Your Rights (Deletion and Access)

  • Delete Account: You can request account deletion from within the App settings.
  • Access & Correction: You may access and update your profile information at any time.
